The house is situated on the outskirts of the Kent village of Hawkhurst - famous for its feared Gang of Smugglers from 1735 to 1749. Drink at the same pub as they did - The Oak and Ivy Inn, still thriving today!  The village has a white weather boarded colonnade of speciality shops, "Kino" a digital cinema with cafe and a variety of restaurants and pubs. Its central location means this is a brilliant base for touring all over Kent and Sussex.
